About this mapEvery star system any Elite Dangerous player has logged with a community
uploader: 204 million systems from EDAstro's database (dump of 26 Sep 2026),
split into visited (someone arrived with an uploader running) and route-only (known only because a
plotted route passed through it). Each dot is a 320-ly cube; |y| ≤ 5,000 ly. Estimated unvisited
counts systems the naming scheme says must exist there (a German-tank estimate per boxel, or the neighbours'
median) minus the visited ones. Visited share is visited over estimated, shown where at least 20 systems are
expected. Remoteness is the distance to the nearest 160-ly cell with at least that many visited systems;
colour and dot size grow with it. The galaxy is thin, so height is stretched (slider).
